Fixing Battlefield 3 Random Sound Loop Crash

After months trying to play Battlefield 3 on my laptop, I was ready to give up. My laptop, a HP G42-373 (BR Variation) is not known for its amazing performance or for having a great processor. Its known for running games on low resolution and low configurations and until now, it can run pretty much any game on the market.

On Battlefield 3, I could play it with all settings to "low" or "off" and with a 1200x720 resolution (pretty good, actually). The problem is: After 1 minute, 5 minutes or even an entire round, the game would stop "responding", giving me an white screen and a sound loop.

"Oh hey, just checking on you"

At times, after killing the game, I'd see the classic video driver message: "Display Driver AMD Catalyst stopped responding and has successfully recovered" floating at my notifications... I was very confused, I tried re-installing drivers, the game and even Windows but all in vain.

tl;dr:

The problem: Battlefield 3 has a lot of problems with Realtek onboard sound cards. Some may say it even happens to Creative and other cards, but that was not my case.

The solution: Simply disabling ALL sound devices. I replaced the devices for an USB Sound Card and now, the game runs just fine and I'm a happy person again :)

Vou comprar essa placa de som USB hoje, tenho um Dell Vostro 3550 e o mesmo problema, quando eu comprar eu tenho que desinstalar os drivers de som que estão instalados? Estou usando minha conta do google então me mande um e-mail. Obrigado.
